KARLOVICH: Dear ladies and gentlemen, let me welcome our new guest: it is the first board and the captain of the Turkmenistan team Mesgen Amanov. Also today he has a birthday. We wish him health and success in chess and life. Our first question is how the Olympiad is going for you so far. How is your team playing?
AMANOV: Thank you for your wishes. Yes, I have a birthday today and I made myself a present by winning a game. I had two losses in a row, losing to Shirov and Topalov but today finally I managed to win.

The Dutch first board Anish Giri made a draw in his game of round 9 against Boris Gelfand of Israel and came for the press conference with his coach Vladimir Chuchelov.

روسيا البلد التي تقدمت بشكل كبير في البطولة المفتوحة ( الرجال ) أذابت هذا التقدم في يوم واحد من خلال خسارتها أمام الولايات المتحدة سامحة لثلاث فرق أخرى للتساوي معها بالنقاط ومشاركتها المركز الأول . أليكس أونيتشوك وسيرغي كارياكين أنهيا مباراتهما سريعا بالتعادل ثم فاز ديميتري ياكوفينكو على اللاعب الشاب راي روبسون .
لكن الفريق الأميركي رد بقوة على الرقعتين الأوليتين من خلال هيكارو ناكامورا وغاتا كامسكي اللذان فازا على النجمين الروسيين فلاديمير كرامنيك وألكسندر غريتشوك .

ماريك : نعم في الواقع بعد ستة أيام من عملي تم إيفادي إلى لندن كممثلة لصربيا وإستطعنا الحصول على ميدالية ذهبية واحدة وإنها لنتيجة جيدة مع ذلك .
