Dear Friends,
Turkish Chess Federation, under the auspices of Sport and Youth Ministry and World Chess Federation, invites all member federations of FIDE to take place in the 40th FIDE World Chess Olympiad in Istanbul. As an experienced organizing federation, the Turkish Chess Federation promises you a very good Olympiad and FIDE Congress with all necessary conditions.

 The organizing committee came together for the workshop of 40th World Chess Olympiad between 30 April - 03 May, 2012. The President of Turkish Chess Federation, Ali Nihat Yazici leaded the workshop with attendance of the presidential board members and sport experts of Turkish Chess Federation.

FIDE and Turkish Chess Federation signed the Olympiad’s contract |
 The signing of contracts and introduction meeting for the 40th World Chess Olympiad was held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 with the participation of FIDE Vice President Georgios Makropoulos, the President of Turkish Chess Federation Ali Nihat Yazici, FIDE Treasurer Nigel Freeman, Deputy Governor of Istanbul Ali Bakoğlu, General Manager of Sport Company (Spor AŞ) Alpaslan Baki Ertekin, The Deputy Manager of Youth and Sports Tamer Taşpınar, The Manager of Sport Facilities of Istanbul Taner Özgüven. As always, Mr. Suat Sözen, the corporate communications Manager of Türkiye İş Bankası, the main sponsor of Turkish Chess Federation, was there to support the Federation.

Olimpik Satranç Problemi Derleme Turnuvası 2012 |
|
Uluslararası Satranç Federasyonu (FIDE) "Satranç Problemi Derleme" özel projesi kapsamında Türkiye Satranç Federasyonu'nun işbirliğiyle İstanbul 2012 Dünya Satranç Olimpiyatı şerefine 8 bölümlü bir Olimpik satranç problemi derleme turnuvası düzenlemektedir.
