The meeting with the volunteers was held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Olympiad Venue. FIDE Vice President Georgios Makropoulos, President of Turkish Chess Federation and Head of Organizing Committee Ali Nihat Yazici, FIDE Treasurer Nigel Freeman, FIDE Congress Coordinator Erman Uskudarli, Tournament Coordinator Cengiz Ince, informed all young volunteers about the main lines of the future event.

 Volunteers explored the venue with the help of coordinators of all sections.
